Sad News

Susan Louise Cantlon, beloved wife of Michael our founder, passed away on June 15th from heart failure. They were married 51 years, had 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Her children, Debbie, John and Matt were able to spend her last day with her as she passed gracefully from this world. She will be sorely missed.

Mike will continue to be active in our business on a daily basis.

The vote on the exit of Great Britain from the EU proved to be another media circus with no lasting effect on the markets. Future implications will not be known for years. We used the opportunity to your advantage by buying back and re-writing some call options.

Our economy remains in the “OK” category. The seven year moderate bull market remains intact with few other choices available to investors. Many of our holdings are growing their earnings and paying healthy dividends. Market volatility continues to frustrate, but supports lucrative option income. Looking around at other investment alternatives, it is our opinion that interest rates will remain low for some time. This makes fixed income and other interest rate sensitive investments unattractive.

As always, we are here to answer any questions you may have. Give us a call to discuss your thoughts or ideas.

Very truly yours,

Michael F. Cantlon
